Just got done with another round of online training under the “School Innovation Ambassador Training Program.’

Completely exhausted today, since my mischievous niece managed to get a silver ring, stuck on her little finger, had to rush her to the hospital where she is advised to use calamine solution, but the ring remains on her swollen, bluish finger so we headed to the goldsmith where her agony finally comes to a dramatic end. I breathe calmly again and thank the three-eyed divine whose name I chanted continuously.

I came to Darjeeling for my college 10 years back and one of my dear friends who was staying in Darjeeling for many years gives me a tip on the first day that was “you cannot predict and trust the weather in Darjeeling it is unpredictable ” anytime it can be rainy, sunny, cold, windy and so on”. It has been two years since the present, PM Modi led the NDA government on 5th August 2019, took a historical move by revoking decades-long controversial Article 370 and Article 35A in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). How many types of generation are there? Let me name a few. The Silent Generation, the Baby Boomer Generation, Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z, and now The Millennials. “The Himalayan Cleanup from Home-2021” campaign was attended by about 184 participants who have successfully submitted data and waste audit report on five days of total household waste category, degradable or non-degradable waste forms, various category of plastic and successfully audited the various types brands and manufacturers of plastic waste. Participants in the first phase were from the Himalayan states and Union Territories of India viz. Nagaland, West Bengal (mainly Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Siliguri), Meghalaya, Ladakh, Sikkim, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura.
