Festivals are a time for celebration and joy for those who are lucky to have enough, but there are very few who have the heart to share this happiness with those who may not have enough.
Team SEWA, which has been doing exemplary work in Pokrhebung valley, yesterday, celebrated the spirit of Dasain by sharing clothes that were donated all the way from Dubai.
The program started at Mangarjung Orange Villa Tulsi Gaon, Sankhaman Gaon and went on till Tukrey, Rangbhang picnic spot. The cloths were distributed to more then 50 families.
The program was successful.
Corresponding with TheDC, Kismat Gurung of Team SEWA said, “we would like to convey special thanks to Mr. Sunil Pakhrin and Mr. Rohit Gurung (presently in Dubai) and their associates specially Dubai Duty Free group for their tremendous support time and again. Our thanks to Mr. Suren Gurung for helping us to handle the parcel and make it reach safely to our office. We thank to Mr. Prashant Rai and Biswas Rai for supporting the event in their own special way.”
This caring heart, this loving kindness, and this amazing concern for our community is what sets our people apart from everyone else. We thank Team Sewa and everyone who contributed to this amazing initiative all the way from Dubai and also locally, for keeping our “Darjeeling Spirit” alive.
