Taking a strong dig at the way the Gorkhaland movement has been subverted, the Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxist leader R B Rai yesterday said, “These past 105 days of agitation has helped us to see who are the leaders and public who have remained steadfast and dedicated to the Gorkhaland cause,” said at a meeting in Mirik yesterday.
He reiterated, “Gorkhaland state will be formed, its an inevitability waiting to happen… we will not let anti-Gorkhaland forces to thrive, we will stand our grounds and we will ensure that those opposed to Gorkhaland cause will have to accept defeat.”
Telling the people not to give up, he said, “no matter how much the state government tries to suppress the demand for Gorkhaland, no matter how much they try to divide the people, we will always find ways to remain united. These are times of great trial and examination for our community, hence the need of the hour is for our people to remain united… Gorkhaland will be formed.”
