The award was given on Battery Health Management System with Integrated Charger by Texas Instruments India. IIT Kharagpur also featured top among the 10 winning teams. IICDC is one of the country’s most popular design contests for engineering students.
The announcement was made at the grand finale at IIM Bangalore on August 10 in the presence of Dr. S D Shibulal, co-founder of Infosys, Dr. Anita Gupta, Adviser and Associate Head, National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) and the Department of Science and Technology of the union government. The team will get an opportunity to start up their own company under the ageis of Department of Science and Technology (DST) which would be incubated at IIM Bangalore’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub at N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL).
Bikky whose current research includes diagnostics and prognostics of battery management system for electrical vehicle exclaims happiness at this achievement and dedicates this success to the entire hill people who have directly or indirectly shaped his zeal for higher education and research.
