Mr. Tony Roy from LGD said, “We believe this was a small contribution to help with their education.”

LGD Society also took this opportunity to speak about environmental awareness and importance of its protection to the children. Their own young volunteers known as “Green Pandas” held the session for them.

“We hope to organise similar programs in other areas of Darjeeling for needy students in the near future as well,” added Mr Roy.

The project is being coordinated by Mrs Sumitra Tamang and her team from LGD Society Darjeeling.
