GJM Chief Bimal Gurung and Roshan Giri’s name have been removed from the voters’ list by the Darjeeling District Electoral Office (DEO) . This was reported by Anadabazar Patrika, the leading Bengali Daily in North Bengal.
According to ABP, on Wednesday, the DEO announced that despite repeated notices to appear before it, both Gurung and Giri have failed to present themselves.
The report further claims that, in addition to removing the names of these two GJM leaders, the names of Bimal Gurung’s wife Asha Gurung, his two children and also the name of Roshan Giri’s wife have been struck off from the voter’s list.
No reactions to this new development have come from the BG-RG camp so far.
