TheDC team sends a warm “shout out” to local Darjeeling lad and St. Joseph’s School, and college graduate Rahul Lama for securing All India Rank 2nd at the recently concluded Special Entry Exams for NCC cadets for Officers Training Academy, Chennai
Son of Dali Hitti Gaon residents Mrs Manju and Mr Punam Lama, Rahul was selected by the Ministry of External Affairs to represent India in 2014 for French National Day also popularly known as Bastille Day. Rahul has previously won the 2010 Scouts Award from the President of India and has represented India at World Scouts Program in Switzerland.
Back in 2014 we had sent a Shout Out his way, at that time we had written “At only 19 years of age, Rahul is an extraordinary young man and is immensely talented in music and singing on top of his performance as a cadet at the NCC.”
Once again, TheDC team on behalf of the people of Darjeeling and Gorkhalis world over thank Rahul for making our community proud and wish him luck in his trip abroad. May you bring more laurels home and to our community.
